A historic church and a warm, practical hall at the heart of Trentham — for meetings, workshops, farewells and community groups.
Our church, hall and meeting room are available to the community for meetings, workshops, community groups, funerals and memorials. Check the calendar below for a free time, then request your booking online: you sign the hire agreement as you go, and the parish office confirms by email.
St John's Church
The 1884 church, with sound system and organ.
Parish Hall
Main hall at the end of Smallfield Lane, off Moonshine Road.
Molly Newman Room
Smaller meeting room off the hall.
Hall Kitchen
Well-equipped kitchen beside the hall.
What it costs
Funerals & memorials
- Church venue hire Full use of the church, including sound and organ.

- Sacrist on the day On-site support and setup.

- Parish Hall hire Includes the cleaning fee.

All prices include GST. A typical church funeral with priest and hall reception is from $1,840. No parties or alcohol, and everyone out by 9pm. Every hire is confirmed with a signed hire agreement.
