Give what you can, not what you cannot. No amount is too small, and every gift makes a difference here in Trentham.

Two ways to give

Your generosity sustains two distinct callings — the everyday life and ministry of the parish, and the long-term care of our historic church and graveyard. Both are charitable, and gifts to either are tax-deductible.

1. The Parish — ministry & operations

Regular giving to the parish supports the day-to-day running of St John’s: worship, pastoral care, children’s and youth ministry, and our work alongside the Upper Hutt community.

2. The Friends of St John’s Trust — building & graveyard

The Friends of St Johns Trentham Trust Board (registered charity CC41437) exists to assist the parish in caring for our historic 1863 church — the oldest church still in regular use in the Wellington area — together with the 1861 graveyard that surrounds it.

Please put Donation plus your name in the reference, then email office@stjohnstrentham.org.nz with your contact details so we can issue a tax receipt.

The Trust also warmly welcomes new members: $20 a year, or $200 for life. Members help keep one of Upper Hutt’s oldest taonga in good heart for the next generation.

Bequests

A gift in your will can leave a lasting legacy — either to the parish for ongoing ministry, or to the Friends of St John’s Trust for the upkeep of the church and graveyard. We recommend you seek independent legal advice when preparing your will.
